Southern Cross Australia Feis 2020

Congratulations to our competitors at the Southern Cross Australia Feis held November 28 at Broadmeadow New South Wales, Australia  McGovern Irish Dance had 19 dancers participate in this combo live/virtual/digital event.   and the results were “bonzer”!  Our  dancers came home with 83 awards and some exciting level ups.

This was an incredible competition that  was set up with live, virtual and video submission which gave the opportunity for our dancers to compete with Open platform schools from all over the United States, Canada,  Belgium and Australia!  Special thanks to the Southern Cross Australia Feis Inc and Voyage of Irish Dance for organizing  this event for all of us.

We are truly lucky to be part of the Open Platform Irish Dance community.  Our teachers and organizations have really worked hard, stepped out of their comfort zones and have come up with brilliantly creative ways to keep all of our Irish Dancers  motivated, driven and actively pursuing their Irish Dance goals.  Congratulations and thank you to all of the teachers and dancers of the Open Platform Irish dance community for keeping things rolling along.
