AMAZING Results for McGovern Irish Dance at the WIDA Eastern USA Oireachtas!

On November 13, McGovern Irish Dance travlled to Toledo OH to participate in the WIDA Eastern USA Oireachtas.  It was a fabulous event that ran smoothly.  Our dancers had great fun meeting new friends and spending time together doing what they love.  Thank you to the organizers and volunteers who worked so hard to make this an amazing event for all of the dancers.  We are all so fotunate to be in an Open Platform organization where we can step out of our comfort zone and get to meet and dance with dancers from some many other organizations.

It's no surprise to anyone in the MID family at how well our dancers performed at this event.  Our dancers put a  lot of hours inside and outside of the studio learning and perfecting new material for this event.  We worked on technique and stamina, mental outlook and focus and added new material to their repertoire and our dancers did not disappoint!

We had 3 dancers that competed LIVE for the very first time and between the 3 of them brought home7 awards!  Congratualtions to Levi Bigalke, Annie Rose Cooper and Torrie Ausban, you 3 are really going places!

At the end of the day, 32 of our  McGovern Irish Dance members brought home a total of

  • 134 Awards
  • 38 First Places
  • 22 dances leveled out
