This Week’s Schedule Changes/Updates
Level Up Sessions
Level Up sessions are for dancers that
- Need to learn new steps for competition because the have levelled up/out
- Are wanting to polish up work on current material
- Have been given permission to learn new material
- Have gotten behind in their practice or just need to get caught up
- Are in need of extra help with steps,
- Want to stay sharp in preparation for Regionals or any other upcoming compettiions
Our focus over the summer is performances, so we will not be spending time re-teaching material that has already been covered in class, we also won't be spending a lot of time on steps in class.
These sessions are for all levels.
If the schedule does not work for you contact me directly and we can work something out.
If you are not located near the Dayton Studio we can work out some Zoom sessions if needed.

Volunteers
Volunteers are needed for the event. It takes about 1000 volunteers each year to do this. If you are intersted in getting involved head over the their website to sign up. Volunteers get a free tshirt and drink tickets!

Reel Irish Dance Camp - Dayton OH
Beginners
Irish dance camps are a fun way to learn a lot about Irish dance in a short amount of time. Dancers will work on the foundation of basic Irish dance skills including proper footwork, rhythm, and team work in a fun loving nurturing environment.
Who Should Sign Up?
Beginner camp is appropriate for dancers still working through their Bun Grad Reel
Advanced Camp This is for dancers that have some Irish Dance experience or at least 1 season of classes with McGovern Irish Dance. Dancers will continue to work on their Bun Grad and Open Organization steps as well as Hard shoe work so they are ready to start strong in September!
Special Guest Worskhop - August 6 & 7 Dayton OH
We are very excited to welcome back Joe LeDesma for our Summer Special Guest Workshop. In this class we will be learning a new set dance appropriate for our dancers that know at least their Ullmhuchan hornpipe or treble jig, some different reel steps as well as working on technique, stamina and stage presences.
