Welcome to McGovern Irish Dance!
Home to top National titles, a World Champion, and other Regional and Local titles, McGovern Irish Dance trains their students for excellence and success while increasing confidence, self-image, and growth for each and every student.
McGovern Irish Dance offers exceptional Irish dance instruction from ages 2 - 102 for adults and children
from beginner to championship levels. We strive to develop the self-esteem, confidence, and Irish dance skills of each dancer in a positive nurturing environment where all of our students can reach their full potential.
We work to instill a sense of unity and friendship among our students and their families through a variety of Irish cultural events such as the Dayton Celtic Festival, Celtic Fest Ohio, Dayton's A World A'fiar, Troy Festival of National, Global Fest in Lafayette IN and more. Our dancers also have several opportunities to participe in local, national and international dance competitions.
It All Starts with the Fundamentals
The focus of our school is to create a strong
fundamental knowledge of Irish Dance skills, technique, and Irish culture. McGovern Irish Dance creates a balance between competitive opportunities, group and solo performances, and Irish culture for a well-rounded experience.

We take Irish dance seriously, but that doesn’t mean our students don’t have fun! The shared experiences of preparing for performance
s and competitions, congratulating your friends on their competitive wins and loving them through their losses, hours together in the studios and the adventures of travel have created life-long friendships that extend far beyond the studio walls. Members of McGovern Irish Dance who have gone on to other studies and professions hang onto the memories and friends they have made through Irish dance know they always have home with us.
No matter which of our locations you happen to be, you will meet dancers that are active, inspired, motivated, and a whole community that loves a good belly laugh and LOVES Irish dance.

New students of all ages are always welcome, ages 2 - 102!
From the littlest dancers in our Jump'n Jig program, beginners of all ages (we have a GREAT adult class!) and champion level dancers.
