Summer Workshops!

 

JOIN US FOR THE REEL IRISH DANCE CAMP 

Irish dance camps are a fun way to learn a lot about Irish dance in a short amount of time.  Dancers will work on the foundation of basic Irish dance skills including proper footwork, rhythm, and team work in a fun loving nurturing environment.

 Beginner Camp Schedule

Tuesdays 5:45 - 6:30 - August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 

Thursdays 5:45 - 6:30 - August 4, 11, 18, 25 

Saturdays 10:45 - 11:30 -August 13, 20, 27                  

 

 

Camp Rates

$30/dancer for 1 camp per week
              *Saturday only dancers are $25/dancer

$40/dancer for 2 camps per week

$50/dancer for 3 camps per week

Includes official camp shirt, certificate of completion and discount on your first month of lessons for the Term 1 (Sept - Nov)

Advanced Beginner Camp

This is for dancers that have some Irish Dance experience or at least 1 season of classes with McGovern Irish Dance.  Dancers will continue to work on their Bun Grad and Open Organization steps as well as Hard shoe work so they are ready to start strong in September!

Advanced Beginner Camp Schedule

  • Tuesdays 6:30 - 7:15
    August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

  • Thursdays 6:30 - 7:15
    August 4, 11, 18, 25

Special Summer Workshops 

A special class with our own Kaleb  Dilger where you will learn a new Open Org Single Jig and Hornpipe!

Perfect steps to have under your belt for upcoming competitions like our upcoming CRN Regional Championships in October, WIDA feis (possibly September) and WIDA Nationals (November) as well as our own CRN Regional Championships.

If you are in need of either of these steps please sign up for this workshop!

This class is appropriate for dancers that can execute their Ullmhuchan hornpipe and is appropriate for any of our Mean Grad and Ard Grad Dancers including anyone in our Adult class, or anyone that just wants to add to their Irish dance repertoire!

Special Guest Teacher Workshop

Work on your technical skills, learn new material and have fun Irish dancing!

We are very excited to welcome back Joe LeDesma for our Summer Special Guest Workshop. 

Joe started Irish dancing in New Orleans in 1998 when he was just 8 years old. Since then, he has competed at numerous regional, national, and international competitions. A two-time Southern Region Oireachtas Champion, Joe taught Irish Dance for over a decade with the Ryan School of Irish Dance in Louisiana, helping students push beyond their limits and become better dancers and athletes. He now resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Lauren, and their dog, Hazel.

In this class we will be learning a new set dance appropriate for our dancers that know at least their Ullmhuchan hornpipe or treble jig, some different reel steps as well as working on technique, stamina and stage presences.  If you plan on going to CRN Regionals (October)  or Nationals (Feb 2023)  this is a GREAT workshop for you to attend.   This event is open to the public, so if you are interested in learning some new material and you are an Irish dancer with some experience, this is a great workshop for you.
