Winter Workshop

❄️ Winter Workshop 2026 | Training β€’ Teams β€’ Tradition ❄️
πŸ“… January 15–19 | Open to all McGovern Irish Dance locations

Our Winter Workshop is a focused, high-quality training experience designed to help dancers return from winter break feeling strong, confident, and preparedβ€”whether they are attending Nationals or not. This workshop supports dancers at every stage of their journey, from newer dancers building fundamentals to experienced performers refining technique and stage presence.

Throughout the week, dancers will participate in technique-focused classes, team training, and performance-based sessions that rebuild stamina, sharpen execution, and reinforce the skills needed for a successful season ahead. Training is challenging yet supportive, creating an environment where dancers feel motivated, encouraged, and ready to grow.

Dancers gain valuable performance experience while receiving supportive feedback and building confidence in a setting they know and trust.

πŸ’ƒ Workshop Highlights:
β€’ Open to all MID dancers across all studio locations
β€’ Nationals-focused training without requiring Nationals attendance
β€’ Nationals coaching fee is included with workshop participation
β€’ β€’ Emphasis on technique, stamina, confidence, and stage presence

πŸ’° Cost & Registration:
β€’ $80 per dancer
β€’ 20% family discount when registering 3 or more dancers
β€’ Use code WINTERWORKSHOP3 at checkout

The Winter Workshop is about growth, preparation, and communityβ€”meeting dancers where they are and helping them step into the next phase of the season with confidence and pride. We’re excited to begin 2026 together, back in the studio, building strength, skill, and tradition. πŸ’–πŸ–€

All dancers are welcome β€” from Beginners through Championship levels.

✨ How the Workshop Works

Your workshop registration covers all sessions offered across the workshop dates. Dancers should attend the sessions that match their current level (or levels). You do not need to attend every session listedβ€”just the ones that apply to your dancer.

πŸ‘‰ Beginners: when completing the registration form, please be sure to check the Bun Grad box.

⭐ Nationals Team Requirement
Any dancers planning to compete at Nationals are required to participate in the TEAM sessions. These sessions are an important part of our preparation and expectations for team dancers.

This workshop is designed to:

  • Build technique and stamina

  • Focus on both soft shoe and hard shoe

  • Provide level-appropriate training

  • Allow dedicated time for team work and choreography
