McGovern Mini Jigs

✨ McGovern Mini Jigs + The McGovern Pulse ✨

You may have noticed our recent name change—our Preschool program is now officially McGovern Mini Jigs and fully part of McGovern Irish Dance! 🎉

This transition allows us to better connect our youngest dancers to the full McGovern experience while keeping all the fun, energy, and age-appropriate learning they love.

What this means for your dancer:
🍀 A more connected path into our Irish Dance program as they grow
🎉 More opportunities to participate in performances and events
👯 A stronger sense of belonging within our studio
💬 Consistent communication, updates, and support for families

As part of this change, McGovern Mini Jigs is now included in The McGovern Pulse—your go-to place for everything you need each week.

Be sure to check here regularly for:
• Class updates and reminders
• Performance and event opportunities
• Important announcements
• Ways to get more involved in the McGovern Irish Dance program

We’re so excited for this next step and love having our Mini Jigs dancers as part of the McGovern Irish Dance family 💗

Parking at the Dayton Studio

Dart leagues are starting up at the Shamrock Club next to the Dayton studio. Their busiest nights are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with members typically arriving around 6:30 PM.

Because parking will be more limited on those evenings, we kindly ask all families to plan for drop-off and pick-up rather than waiting in the parking lot. There will not be space available for lingering during class times.

Monday adult dancers are welcome to park down the alley where Shelagh typically parks. Just keep my space open.

Thank you in advance for helping us keep traffic flowing smoothly and safely for everyone!

Fan Gear & Dancer Essentials

👣 A Friendly Reminder: Who Belongs in the Studio?

We absolutely love how supportive our dance families are — it means so much! 💕
However, during class time, only dancers enrolled in that class should be in the studio.

If you’re not the one dancing, please relax in the waiting area or come back to pick up your dancer at the end of class. Our studio space is cozy, and even the best cheerleaders can become little distractions when class is in session.

We know how special it is to see your dancer’s progress, which is why we schedule Visitor Days, Parent Peek-Ins, and even Facebook Lives in our private Parents’ Group throughout the year — so you won’t miss a thing!

When you are invited into the studio, please sit quietly and let the instructors lead. Coaching, correcting, or offering feedback — no matter how well-intentioned — can pull focus from the dancers and their learning.

Thank you for helping us keep class time focused, positive, and full of the joy of dance! ☘️💚
