What Should My Dancer Wear?

Comfortable clothing that allows your dancer to move freely is perfect. Leggings, shorts, a T-shirt, or athletic clothing all work well.

Free Trial and Open House FAQs

What ages can attend an Open House? +

McGovern Irish Dance offers programs for dancers ages 2 through adult. Available ages may vary by studio and event, so select your preferred location in the scheduler to see the current options.

Does my dancer need previous experience? +

No. Our Open Houses are designed to welcome complete beginners. Experienced dancers who are new to McGovern Irish Dance are also welcome.

Does my dancer need Irish dance shoes? +

No special shoes are needed for an Open House. Comfortable clothing and clean sneakers or socks are usually all your dancer will need.

Can parents stay during the trial? +

Families will receive instructions for their specific event and studio. There will be an opportunity to meet our team, ask questions, and learn about the recommended class.

Do we have to register for classes that day? +

No. The Open House is an opportunity to experience the studio and gather information. We will help you understand the best next step, but your family can decide when you are ready.

What happens if we cannot attend this Open House? +

We offer free trial opportunities throughout the year, typically every other month. You may contact us for help or check this page for the next available event.
